Do you have a footprint for this tent?...

Do you have a footprint for this tent? Looks like you have the 2014 footprint but I think this tent is 2013 (or earlier?)

Responded on

Hey Jon130230915,
Correct this tent is the 2013 model, however the dimensions are the same for this tent. The 2014 footprint will work just fine. Let us know if you have further questions.

LOVE this tent!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I have taken this tent on a bunch of trips, most recently a 5 day hike on the Foothills trail in NC/SC. Weighs in around 3lbs 8 oz with titanium stakes and no stuff sack except for the poles. Easy to set up, easy to tear down. BIG. Its not tapered at one end so it really is nice. I use it with my wife and we have tons of extra room for gear, even in winter. The door is easy to get in and out and I'm 6'2" with plenty of room to sit up and move around even with the Mrs. inside. Ventilates well also, very little condensation even when it got down to 6 degrees on Round Mtn. Holds up well in moderate winds and I didn't even use the additional guy lines. Had it in plenty of hard rain with no leaks what so ever. One thing is I wish the rain fly when opened stayed out over the door of the tent body, could drip in the tent. It wasn't an issue if you didn't open the fly completely in the rain. Lots of room to boil water in the vestibule as well, its quite large. The tent is well ventilated so no worries about boiling water in the vestibule. The tent isn't showing any signs of wear yet, quite durable. I've camped on the snow with it as well and it worked perfectly here in Michigan. 4 season tent? No. Amazing tent for 3 season and moderate winters, all but the most extreme wind and snow.

The tent is amazing for two people. Light, functional and huge interior.

LOVE this tent!

Everything This Tent Comes With

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Right to left: Tent, Rain fly, Poles, Stakes, and storage bag. All weighting a total of 3lb 15 0z. All amazingly light and durable material. Can't wait for the weather to get a little bit warmer so I can go backpacking!

Seedhouse 3P

Seedhouse 3P

Seedhouse 3 person tent pitched for a night in the Uinta mountains! I am still loving this tent, it's my favorite light-weight backpacking tent out there. Plenty of room for 2 and a dog, lots of head room too. Very amazed at how dry I have stayed in this tent!

The goldilocks tent

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Started with a Fly Creek UL3: light but too cramped for 2 on a multiday trip. Went to a Jack Rabbit SL3: spacious but too heavy for 2 on a multiday trip, also fly zips are a nightmare, and I don't trust the plastic pole hub. Then BA adds a spreader bar to the formerly meh Seedhouse SL3, and we have a winner. 56oz packed; *more* footprint room than the Jack Rabbit, wonderful headroom. Tight as a drum and perfectly dry when pitched well. If you're attempting to ease an indoorsy friend into lightweight backpacking, this is the tent to do it in.

THE backpacking tent!

I purchased the seedhouse 3 to cut down on weight, we backpack a lot in the summer time. This 3 person is a little over 3lbs and feels like nothing in your pack! The material of the tent is very light-weight and thin, I don't doubt the durability of the material but I highly recommend getting the footprint for this tent. The footprint will help protect your tent floor. The set up is super super easy and takes no time, I love putting this thing up! The DAC poles are incredible, very durable! The interior mesh pockets help keep your things organized. We just used this tent for 3 nights out in the High Uintas, we saw rain every-night but stayed completely dry! If you do encounter rain just be sure to stake everything out nice and tight, you will be dry! This tent is perfect for the husband, dog(100lbs), and me, we have plenty of extra room. Nice sized vestibule was big enough for 2 Osprey 70 packs, 2 shoes, and dog pack. We had to cook dinner in the vestibule for 2 nights due to rain and had plenty of room! You will love this tent!
