Easy to carry, easy to set up, and easy to love.

Getting out of the elements is great, but longer wilderness trips can lose their luster if you have to lug around a heavy tent. The Big Agnes Seedhouse SL 2 tent provides tons of space and weather protection for you and a partner without weighing a metric ton—in fact, it has a decidedly un-tonlike trail weight of 2.5 pounds, which can be further reduced to two pounds even if you bring just the fly, pole, and footprint (sold separately). Super-light doesn't mean super-lame, either, seeing as the Seedhouse has a nylon ripstop fly and floor, coated with PU for extra waterproofing, and seams that are fully covered with solvent-free tape.

To pitch it in a jiff, just use the single DAC Featherlite hub-style pole, clips, and reflective guylines and webbing—the Seedhouse will be good to go in minutes, and you won't even trip over it in the dark. You'll be able to toss your gear in the vestibule, stash small items in the mesh pockets, and sleep the night away, no matter what the weather's up to.

  • PU-coated nylon rip-stop fly and floor
  • Nylon mesh walls
  • Full solvent-free seam taping
  • DAC Featherlite NSL aluminum hub-style pole
  • Single door and vestibule
  • Reflective guylines and corner webbing
  • Two mesh pockets
  • Footprint and gear loft sold separately

Here's what others have to say...

What is the difference between Packaged Weight, Trail Weight and Fast Pitch Weight (Fast Fly Weight as Big Agnes calls it).

Also what does the footprint weigh?

Here is how Big Agnes defines the different weights for their tents:

Packed weight:

This is the heaviest you can expect your tent to weigh, straight out of the box or from the store. This weight refers to all packaging, hang tags, as well as the stuff sacks, fly, body, stakes, poles, and guy lines.

Trail weight:

This is the lightest you can expect your tent to weigh, stripped of everything but the essentials. This number reflects the weight of just the fly (no guy lines), body, and poles.

Fast-fly weight:

This is the weight of your fly, footprint and poleset only.

Seedhouse SL2 info:

Packed Weight - 3lb 0 oz (48 oz) or 1360grams

Trail Weight - 2lb 9 oz (41 oz) or 1160grams

Fast Fly Weight - 2lb 0 oz (32oz) or 907grams

Footprint Weight - 5 oz or 142grams

Hello guys, I was just wondering what, if...

Hello guys, I was just wondering what, if anything at all, has been changed from the 2013 edition of this tent?

While there may be some additional changes, I do know, via BA, that the footprint set up has changed. The clips on the new model won't work with the footprints made before 2014.
