    Sleep twice as comfortably.

Winter camping isn't necessarily relaxing, but if it's solitude, cold, and untouched snow that you're after, snoozing on the Big Agnes Double Stuffed Double Z Sleeping Pad is the way to go. As the name suggests, the Double Stuffed is loaded with two layers of ultra-efficient PrimaLoft Silver Hi-Loft insulation to keep the frozen ground from sapping your heat, and it's built with a Stabilizer construction to ensure that you don't wake up in the morning with a brutal cold spot in the small of your back. The nylon ripstop fabric can take a beating, but a repair kit is included just in case, and there's a two-piece valve for fast inflation and deflation.

    Better Sleep Than Before

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I'm a light sleeper when it comes to tent camping and backpacking, but the Big Agnes Double Stuffed Double Z mattress gives me the best night of sleep of any pad I've owned. Love the two-valve system. This mattress fills with about 25-30 good blows. Love the shape vs. a standard mummy-shaped pad. Best of all, this sleeping pad is warm and keeps my butt and hips off the ground. Way off the ground - with room to roll over without falling off.

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I'm a warm sleeper, I got this for all season backpacking. I do switch out bags for summer/fall camping. It provides plenty of warmth for cold camping in spring. I've used this one once, but I was comfortable all night in a 0 deg bag half unzipped. I would recommend this and talked my girlfriend into getting it. She sleeps very cold and has a 0 deg bag after nearly freezing with a 15 degree bag and liner which was supposed to add 20 degrees. Would recommend this to any cold sleepers. It's going to help keep you warm.

    Warmth above all!

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I recently sent back my triple-core to bA after using and abusing it for 3 years. They replaced it with this 4-season pad and it exceeded my expectations. Extremely easy dual valve, one for inflating, and the other for deflating. Super compact when folded up. Looking forward to put it through the test In Iceland this month. I am 5'10 and the regular fits me well.

Curious how this pad worked out for you in the cold.? I'm interested in the regular/wide as some of the other favorites taper a bit too much or omit insulation along the edges. My gut tells me the Primaloft Silver may regulate better than down between cold nights and sun beating down on the tent mornings.
