It's called the Big House for one big reason: it's big.
Whether you're on a family or big-group outing or just want to stretch your legs and stand upright, pack up the Big Agnes Big House 6-Person 3-Season Tent. This capacious freestanding tent with a high ceiling sets up with ease thanks to the color-coded webbing and buckles, clips, and sleeves, and packs into a briefcase-style carrying bag so you can be ready in a flash for the next stop.
You get lots of weather protection and durability out of this massive tent. A 1500mm waterproof polyurethane coating on the fly and floor resists rain should your trip get hit with a storm. Added weatherproof bonus: all seams taped with waterproof, solvent-free polyurethane tape (No PVC or VOCs). The fly is made out of polyester ripstop and the floor is polyester, while the body consists of polyester taffeta and polyester mesh fabric that offers ventilation. Lightweight aluminum tent poles are offer a high strength-to-weight ratio.
With such a big tent, you get lots of features. The extra-large door makes it easy for everyone to enter/exit, and there are two built-in storage shelves along with six internal mesh pockets and gear loft loops (gear loft sold separately) so there's a place for everything. The color-coded pole ends, webbing and buckles make set-up so easy that Mom and Dad can crack a brew while the kids put this tent up. The tent includes ten lightweight aluminum hook stakes and high-visibility reflective guylines.

Amazing comfort and stability!!!
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
In general I love this tent. Real Big House for my family )))
Nighttime visibiity was good. I was glad with locations and quantity of mesh pockets.
We were informed that weather forecast would be bad on weekend (wind speed/gust on Saturday-25 kt/ 30kt, on Sunday 35 kt/56 kt. So, I have decided to perform "stress test". I have trusted that aluminium poles would work good. Tant was stable on Saturday, but next day wind gust has created potential hazard to damage the poles (this has happened with Big Agnes Three Forks Shelter- one of the poles was bent). We have had to put put it down, later I have revealed that one of the poles has got slight curve.
56kt wind gust- Real Power!!!!!!!!!!
Summary, I was impressed, that big house was able to compete with 2 persons tents in stability features. Love it!!!!!
Mid May Snowpocalypse
