    Pack light, sleep well.

Whether you're taking full advantage of mild spring temperatures in the desert or tromping around the high country come summer, the Big Agnes Air Core Ultra Sleeping Pad is designed to keep your pack light and back comfy when you finally call it a night after a long day on the trail.

The Air Core's minimalist I-beam construction keeps overall weight to a minimum, and the tough nylon fabric is fashioned with a TPU laminate, which resists punctures and tears when Fido decides your sleeping mat looks better than the tent floor. Big Agnes built this pad with sizable outer air chambers to help cradle your back in the middle, and added a large air valve to quickly deflate the pad when you're breaking camp. Ultimately, the Air Core is a non-insulated sleeping pad which makes it ideal for warm weather camping, and features an antimicrobial treatment to help prevent the inner air chambers from becoming a moldy mess over time.

    Thick and lightweight

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I've used this pad on several occasions. It has high loft and doesn't take too long to inflate. The two valves are pretty nice and you can maintain the valve with the included kit. It's easy to tweak the level of inflation while lying on the pad. This pad is slippery and it's long barrel shaped baffles make it interesting to use, sometimes. Most sleeping bags have a surface that is slick against the pad. I found that if I sleep on any slope, my regular tossing-and-turning during the evening, causes my to slip down the pad. Sleeping on my side, sometimes makes me feel like I'm teetering on one of the few large baffles. Further, this paid is relatively loud and squeaky; possibly disturbing your fellow campers during the night. I have another brand of pad that uses V baffles and a less slippery surface that is more convenient to use. The Big Agnes is thicker than most but I do wish I spent the extra for a slightly better pad they make with different baffle design.

    Super Comfy

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This air mattress is incredibly comfortable. It packs up very small. I got the petite size so I would have more room for my gear inside the tent. It is very quick to blow up takes about a minute because every breath you blow stays in the the mat. I paired it with a memory foam topper and I slept like a baby

    Ultra Comfortable

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

For the past decade or so, I have used my fathers old foam pad for camping, and it worked to say the least. I decided to upgrade to an air pad finally, and after seeing this one in person it was decided. It blows up to about two-inches in height, providing an insane amount of cushion for being off the ground; than it is decided so the outer two lines of air are bigger than the others, meaning this pad cradles you into the middle. It stays inflated the entire time you are using it, with the only draw-back being the time it takes to blow up, about ten minutes at the most. My favorite feature of this is Big Agnes air valve technology; it is now a simple in valve that holds each breathe you blow into it, but also has an out-flow hole that dumps the air out. This is one of the lightest, most compact, and most comfortable pads I have used.
