Say waaaaatttt?

Pull the lightweight Bern Watts EPS Audio Helmet with Knit Liner on and keep your dome warm and protected while you rock out to your favorite top 40 hits (you love 'em, don't deny it). Pop out the removable liner for warm-weather riding; vents at the top of this helmet help hot air escape to keep you cool, so there's no need to swap multiple helmets. Make Mom happy and save a little cash by using the Watts Helmet for extreme debauchery year-round.
  • EPS polystyrene is a lightweight, hard foam—when hit, EPS evenly distributes energy throughout its internal structure to keep your head intact
  • Removable knit liner allows for year-round action sport use—leave it in to fight off the winter chill and take it out when the weather warms up
  • Connect the 8tracks Audio system to your music player and pump tunes directly to your brain

I like the helmet, since it comes with a cold weather liner that has headphones. But I really dislike the policy of not sending along a warm weather liner with the helmet. You can't take out the knit liner and put on the helmet for warm weather--it simply doesn't fit. This is not the fault of backcountry.com, since I spoked with reps from Bern. No warm weather liner is sent with the original purchase.

If you want a warm weather liner, you'll need to purchase one through Bern for $6, after receiving a discount.

Visit:
goallseason.com

>select upgrade
>choose your liner
>add discount code: prodealknit

I would rather have $6 added to my original cost in order to receive the warm weather liner with the helmet. This additional purchasing process is a little frustrating.

Works great as a helmet, the audio cord that came with it is a little faulty, and the speakers in the liner put a lot of pressure on my ears and starts to hurt a little after riding for a few hours, but not horrible. The sink fit is awesome, low profile helmet, and looks great

I just got this helmet and it worked great for the first 3 days and then the right ear speaker got a short in the input jack and wouldnt work any longer unless I squeezed on the input port. Had to return the helmet for a replacement. I didnt buy it through Backcountry but at Sports Authority who had it on sale for only $79.00 bucks!

I like this helmet, but find the lid annoying when I want to put my googles on top of my helmet.

I just ordered this but I am concerned about the reviews of audio helmets.... Is there a best in market audio helmet that you can suggest?

no, there is not . i have owned my bern for two years and the only part of the audio that ever went bad ( usually the only part after asking around) is the cord between the helmet and the player / phone. went to radio shack got a 3.5 mm head phone to head phone cord and it rocks out 30 days a year. that's with me getting it caught on trees and forgetting to unplug as i dump it off in the bar. also you are hard pressed to find a better fitting or functioning lid.
