If your head tends to come in contact with things other than pillows and hairbrushes, you might want to consider the Bern Muse Hard Hat Helmet. This lightweight lid features a cushy Brock Foam interior that, while not certified for severe impacts, can take multiple light to moderate dings without requiring replacement (compare this to Zipmold and EPS foam, which is certified but must be replaced after a single hit).
The Muse
starts with Bern's Hard Hat ABS hard shell. Bern then adds a liner of
soft, moisture-wicking Brock foam. It's designed for multiple
lower-impact injuries, making it ideal for mastering new moves in the
park. Bern's Signature Shape allows the Muse to be up to 35% lower
profile
than standard snow helmets, and the ergonomic fit means it fits around
your head instead of perching on top of it. Of course, you also get the
inimitable style that this original visored helmet dishes up without
looking like it's trying too hard.
The Muse isn't just about style, though. A micro-adjust ratchet at the back lets you dial in the perfect fit on the fly. All told, the Muse weighs 17.9 ounces (or less, depending on size) and fits like a glove, so you won't be thinking about your helmet while you shred. Bern also included a knit liner to keep your head warm in style; unlike other helmets, you can take the liner out when it warms up for spring-ski comfort or skatepark shenanigans.
