Bern, baby, Bern.
If you switch between singletrack and the skatepark in the summer, and trade in your bike for bindings come December, the Bern Macon Thin Shell EPS Helmet's a single-lid solution to your multi-sport dilemma. It has an ABS Thin Shell and EPS foam liner that are designed to take whatever sort of hits you throw at them, and is compatible with warm winter liners so you can take it to the mountain when the flakes start falling. Bern's signature Sink Fit gives the Macon a steezy, low-profile vibe so you don't look like a living bobblehead, and the adjustable fit and removable vent cover let you dial in your domepiece to keep your head comfortable no matter what sort of mayhem you're causing.

The biggest complaint I have had with most bike helmets is that they all make you look like your going out for the Tour de France next year. This helmet does exactly the opposite of that, and its absolutely wonderful. The built is visor is actually very nice, and I was surprised on how durable the helmet actually was. The only concern is that the helmet is definitely snug on my head. I have a pretty large cabeza, and even the L/XL fits a little tighter than I would normally like. Overall, though, great helmet. Also, the fact that you can buy different liners from Bern for each different season (to turn the bike helmet into a ski helmet, for example) is actually super cool.
