The Bern Baker Hard Hat Audio Helmet w/ Knit Liner is a thoughtfully-designed, bombproof ski and snowboard helmet that will outlast your skis, clothes, and leg muscles. Remove the fuzzy knit liner and turn it into a four-season lid.
Sink Fit means your noggin’s cradled deep within the helmet, which gives you a comfy, low-profile look
8Tracks high-fidelity audio system is built into the helmet’s liner—just plug the jack into your player of choice and launch into rock-out mode
An easy-access volume control is easy to adjust, plus we love anything with a volume button
Two goggle clips hold your goggles exactly in place and avoid the slippage you get with just one clip
Hard Hat construction uses an impact-resistant outer shell with breathable inner foam to protect without inducing the sweaties
Baker helmets come with a clip-in system that lets you clip the knit liner in and out for both winter and summer use (for whatever summer sport—skating, biking, alligator-wrestling, etc.)
Hard Hat version IS NOT EN/AST/CPSC certified for severe single impacts
Bottom Line: For any situation that requires a durable hard hat and music.
I love this helmet. The headphones work great. It can get a little warm with the headphones on in the spring or during a BC hike but it also keeps you warm when its cold out. The headphone ear warmers can be taken out and put back in during a chair lift ride.
And look good doing it. These helmet has everything a snowboarder could want. Low Profile, Great Goggle Clip, Warm, and of course Music! Sure it's not certified, but definitely better then nothing, and better then most. It never even felt like i hit my head when I most certainly did.

Big fan of this helmet. The fit is smaller than a comparable size in Giro or Smith, so I'd recommend trying one on before buying sight unseen. My head isn't proportioned correctly to have the earphones line up perfectly, but not a huge issue. I've gotten a slight irritation from the built in beanie rubbing against my neck, but only after 3 full days of skiing. Haven't worn it for spring riding yet, but it is plenty warm for anything above 0 fahrenheit
If you're tired of ear buds that drown out all the noise even when your music player is off, this helmet is the best alternative. Not only is it incredibly warm and snug, but I find the low profile visor on the Baker Hard Hat more useful than something you see on the Giro G10 MX (also a great helmet but the visor can be cumbersome at times). If you read any reviews on this helmet, most of the complaints are about how the wind can quiet the music down while skiing. I don't see this as much of a problem: just mach down the mountain back to the lift as quickly as possibly and enjoy the tunes again.
Great Helmet! This is a really comfy, low profile lid. The knit lining goes all the way around your head, so you wont get any goggle gap, and will keep your ears warm. The fact that the shell is thick and durable is a huge plus, and the brock foam will be able to stand up to years of abuse. I had a RED hi-fi before this, and within a year, the foam had cracked, and the shell was coming loose. This is a much better helmet!
For one thing, this is technically not a helmet. It is not as strong or as well padded as a Leedom or Smith helmet. This one is definitely a lot better than nothing, but especially if you're a parent, that might be a concern for you. My other slight beef with this helmet is that its very deep, so i ended up having to add some padding on the top to make it comfortable. On the positive side, this helmet is light, warm, and looks great. It also has a much better goggle clip than my previous helmet, which is really nice. I lost a pair of Oakleys off the other helmet, so that's important to me.
I used this helmet last week and had a couple of minor spills, and my head felt fine afterwards - no headache or anything. This is my first helmet, and I actually found it really convenient compared to a hat because your goggles strap into the helmet and you don't have to worry about losing them when you take them off to see better.
I can't report on the sound quality of the speakers because I didn't end up using them this past trip. After a few hours of wearing the helmet, the liner started to bother my ears, probably because of the speakers inside. It wasn't too bad though, and if you're going to be listening to music it's about as comfortable as you'd expect to find in an audio helmet.
