It all depends on where you feel like going.

When Seth Wescott first rocked the Baker helmet during the 2006 games, people started waking up to Bern's style and design. Since then, Bern has upped the tech and included features like audio to make the 2011 Baker EPS Visor Audio Helmet with even more protection and a better fit. So whether you're playing in the snow, in the skate park, or on your way to the snowboard cross championship, feel free to rock the Baker with confidence.

  • Lightweight EPS foam evenly distributes energy throughout its internal structure so less force hits your skull when you take a spill
  • Molded goggle channel keeps your lenses in place without bunching or slipping
  • Removable knit liner keeps you warm when winter tries to freeze you out, and you can pull it out when summer heat begs a cooler lid
  • Liner-integrated audio slams sound from your media player straight into your ears
  • Sink Fit design means that this lid fits around your head (rather than just sitting on top) so you get a better fit and a sleeker look
  • The Clip Snap-In system secures your liner to your helmet simply and quickly

Multifunctional, Snug, Looks Great

Great helmet for the money. Super multifunctional thanks to the removable liner. When the sun comes out and it starts getting warm you can just take the liner out and keep going. Did seem snug with the liner in (I have a hat size of 7 and 1/2 and ordered a L) but was not uncomfortable after long, hard day of skiing. It also is compatible with many goggle types (I've tried Anons, Smiths, Oakleys, and Spys and they all work fine).
Speaker audio is good for a helmet, but within the first day of using the supplied cord it snapped. Very cheap, would recommend an upgrade.
Overall its a great helmet and it looks the business too. Would recommend.

Last time I bought a bern muse "helmet" it arrived with a disclaimer saying it was a hard hat, the difference being helmets are made to protect your noggin against an extreme impact but the foam takes the impact so it has to be replaced whereas a hard hat is built for multiple less severe impacts but the foam won't crumble everytime. I want something that will keep my head safe in the event of a severe impact. So, dogfunk gurus or anyone with an authoritative response, will this "helmet" do the job of a helmet?

Great Quality-

Awesome Helmet, built very sturdily. HOWEVER, the audio auxiliary cord shorted out after only a month. So plan on getting a new one.

My question is about overheating in this sexy beast. This model doesn't look to have vents on top, does it get nasty hot? I love the color scheme, just don't want to have to shelf it once it gets a bit warmer.

Nice Audio, Tight Fit

Here's the dirt: the audio system is great, but the volume wheel is touchy with gloves on, so I replaced their standard audio cable with one that is compatible with my iPhone and has a microphone built in (like the headphones that come with the iPhone) so I can give commands and talk on the phone straight from the audio cable. It was a $5 upgrade and is worth it. The microphone falls right by my mouth when routed properly from the helmet and I never have to dig in my pockets or take off my gloves to talk on the phone. The helmet itself seems to run small. It is a little tight around my ears and can get uncomfortable if your on the snow all day. I do like that I can take out the liner and use this for kayaking and rafting. I would recommend the helmet. It is worth the money.

Here is the microphone cable I got to work with this system: search on Amazon for Cellet 3.5mm to 3.5mm Stereo Audio Cable With Built In Microphone & on/off Switch
