Like any good down jacket worth its fluff, the Berghaus Men’s Liskamm Down Jacket packs big warmth while keeping weight and pack size to a minimum. Ultralight Pertex Microlight shell fabric resists light weather while reducing bulk, and the lofty 650-fill goose down maintains a high warmth-to-weight ratio.

Boss gear....

By:
February 8, 2010

This piece is very warm, very functional and very Boss if you can handle a truly bright coat. If not you should look at some of Berghaus other coats. This is not for the wallflowers in the audience.

The left-hand zipper is a little awkward at first but you forget about it after a day or two. You don't forget about the warmth however. This is good below 30 with just a t-shirt, unzipped. If you zip it, you'll be good down to the teens and single digits. One layer and you're fine for just about anything.

The fit is comfortably athletic, not very trim but not TNF loose.

Berghaus claims it's windproof and so far it seems to be true. I haven't tested the water-repellancy but I'm sure it can handle any below freezing precipitation.

Matthew's problems with the black showing through haven't been a problem with mine at all.

I highly recommend this piece and if it's any indication of Berghaus' quality and design, I'm sure their other pieces are equally outstanding.

Color n Zipper...

Even though this is a Men's jacket, the zipper is on the opposite side..fyi. Also, The yellow looks great in the image above, and the actual color is the same...though the black liner of the jacket shows through at the seams and makes the jacket appear dirty.

Berghaus is an English brand. Zippers are on the opposite side in Europe. :)
