Does it come with a blade? Wouldn't it be nice to know what size blade it comes with? Asking too much, I suppose. Seems 90% of the listings and reviews I see fail to specify the blade thickness and length. Call me picky, but I would like to know.

Hi R.Thompson,

Thanks for the question. The blade thickness and length on the Benchmade 553 Griptilian Tanto Knife is 0.115" and 3.45".

Excellent Pocket Knife

This is an excellent pocket knife for utility, work, convenience. It opens rapidly for a folder. The cutting surface is very sharp. The construction is strong, tough, and just tight enough that there's no wiggle or shimmy when working the blade.

My only complaint would be the necessary presence of the clip. This is nothing unique to the Benchmade Griptilian Tanto Knife. Any pocket clip is going to diminish the integrity of the hand grip one can maintain on a knife.

I regularly commute by bicycle and I haven't found the folded length to be any sort of problem while riding.

Dude, see those 3 screws? You can remove the clip if you don't like it.
