You'll be looking for any excuse to wear them.

It’s starting to get cold, which means it’s time to break out the Bearpaw Women's Emma Boot—not that you need dropping temperatures as an excuse. Featuring a classic 10-inch shaft height (measured from the arch), the Emma is your go-to casual footwear choice just about any time. The boot's sheepskin-wool lining and sheepskin footbed provide highly effective protection against the cold, and also breathe and wick moisture for total comfort. The rubber sole offers great grip, cushioning, and durability.

    I love these boots!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I live in a cold climate; we had -20?F. in mid-December, so my Emma boots are my favorite house slippers. My first pair lasted seven years; then the rubber soles split and fell apart. I'm on pair #2 now and expect them to perform just as well. They are sized a bit small. I wear a size 11 in most shoes, but find the Bearpaw 12 none too large.

    Not recommended for high arches

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

At first these boots seem comfortable. However, after walking around in them for a bit, my feet started to hurt. Also, these boots are on the heavier side.
