Fantastic Rope!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

So, I have used this rope for nearly two full seasons on Dolomite, granite, sandstone, and even some ice. That being said, the durability is fantastic, the "Dry cover" Is more like sponge cover. It doesn't soak up dirt fast by any means, and it is wearing really well. I took it ice-climbing once though, and it was like trying to run thick steal cable through my ATC. The only downside is that this rope is definitely heavy, but with a UIAA fall rating of Thirteen, It's worth every gram. I should also mention that my friends and I range anywhere from 200-300 pounds, and this rope has withstood several lead falls as well as countless topropes.

I cannot describe how solid this rope is. Buy IT!

Killer Rope!

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This was the first rope I ever used and I have loved it since the first day I climbed on it. The rope is so bullet proof that it has held up quite well despite several novice rope drag mistakes. I have used it for sport climbing, top roping, and even a couple pitches of trad. I have climbed on it extensively (several times a week) this past summer and it has at least 2 more summers of climbing on it before it may start to become hazardous. That being said I think it could last even longer if I had a better rope bag and avoided rope drag. Overall this is a great rope for beginners or those who don't mind/prefer hauling the larger rope.
