Description

A thin line for your hardest sends.

Beal created the Stinger III 9.4mm Golden Dry Rope to give sport and trad climbers an ultralight line, one that won’t be pulling off your harness as you top out a pitch. You probably won’t want to work out the moves with this ultralight rope, but it’s a great choice when you don’t want to drag an anchor behind you on redpoint attempts. This Beal line features a Golden Dry treatment for wet alpine climbing, and a center mark to help you set up rappels quickly.

Excellent rope for sport climbing

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Just got back from a trip to the Drôme with a 70 m Stinger III, and it performed admirably in every way. Nice and light 35 m up, and feeds wonderfully through the GriGri2. Really soft and easy to clip, but not showing any signs of wear. Would buy again.

awesome rope

love this rope, super thin, light, and durable (for its diameter). Have been using it at least once a week for some outdoor craging for the last 6 months, took a bunch of whippers on it, still good. I'd use a thicker one to dog though, 9.4 is quick thin and that'd be a waste. The sheath seems to be very durable

Great, light rope

This rope performed well on a two week alpine climbing trip. Its lightweight and handles very well - overall I am very impressed.

Beal Stinger III 9.4mm Golden Dry Rope

I just bought a second of these ropes. The first I got over 2 years ago and it has lasted over many, many falls and all through the sandy southern Utah crags. The sheath is still in good shape, but I wanted to replace it because of the large number of falls I've taken on it. I've been very impressed with this rope!

Nope just 60m. What is available in the select options drop down is what they have.

Hey nkix860086, I don't know if you'll get an email or anything when I answer this, but this rope is currently available in 70m lengths for both the Blue and Orange.
