Tie in for any of your projects with the Flyer.

With a moderate diameter and a protective Dry Cover sheath coating, the Beal Flyer II 10.2mm Rope is ideal for any roped climbing application. The sheath coating helps stop water absorption and freezing on ice or alpine climbs and enhances durability for extended use. The relatively low weight and progressive diameter helps bridge the gap between traditional fat ropes and newer skinny ropes.

Is there a difference between this rope and the pink Flyer II Golden Dry Rope?

Responded on

The Golden Dry Rope has a dry treatment applied to the core and sheath whereas with the Dry Cover Rope only the sheath has a dry treatment.

When is the manufacturing date ?

Wanted to get a thinner rope for leading, but didn't want something too thin as the areas I climb have lots of sharp, craggy granite. This rope is the perfect middle ground between old school beefy ropes and the newer 9.x ropes!

4th rope over the years and the best by far. Stays clean for me, maybe because I'm at higher alts when using this rope. Haven't used this in the summer. I tend to use 8mm to hike far in with in warmer weather.

Durable and light

I've yet to find a better weight per meter to fall ratio than the Beal Flyer II. I've been using this rope for 3-4 years now and it still remains tops in my book. At 64g/m and certified to 10 falls, I can't find anything better. The dry coating seems to attract dirt and grime, but otherwise it's great.
