this was one of those things i saw and instantly had to have. while i thought the price tag is steep for a glorified sweatshirt, i couldnt help but think about the ridiculous prices of designer garbage that are thin and poorly made but go for over 200. so i caved.
and the airdawg delivered. it has been everything i hoped. not too bulky, and fits just right. the fleece is well made, looks and feels great. i am amazed at the omni heat lining. it is so soft and comfortable, and does what it says.
it is too warm for anything but the coldest nights in los angeles. unless you stay absolutely still. but i want to wear it more than any other hoodie on those cold mornings and late sleepless nights because it is more comfortable than anything else i own.
it did a killer job on a very cold, ridiculously foggy night in san francisco. walking briskly from lower haight to inner richmond at 10 pm i had to unzip because the omniheat did so well. walking back at 3 am, it kept off the late night chill of the ocean air and fog. wearing it to get coffee the next morning could have been borderline overkill.
and my favorite was getting in to big bear this last week when it was 2 am and 20 degrees out. i was wearing shorts and a tshirt, and my airdawg. the temperature didnt bother me one bit. after a long day of snowboarding in a snowstorm, the airdawg welcomed me with a cocoon of goodness and immediately warmed my chilled bones.
bottom line is, i'll be wearing this until it falls apart. and that will probably be quite a long time.
so don't buy it... because i want to buy up all the leftovers at the end of the season for half price so i never have to go a day without my airdawg. thanks.
oh and one more thing. everyone else loves it too. all of my friends ask about it, try it on, then want their own. girls i have just met tell me they like it. if all the other stuff wasn't enough for you to be interested, maybe that will be.
