I really like having one setup; not sure if it's the cost or just the simplicity, but that's what I go for. I have Barons mounted on K2 Mt. Bakers w/Dynafit Zzero boots.

I've skied these the last three seasons. i'm 6'1", and weigh ~200lbs(give or take 15 on either side!!!).

I ski ~20+ days/year, the first year on these I skied 40+ days.

These bindings are perfect if you want one setup that's great for resort skiing and great in the backcountry.

I took these on the Chamonix-Zermatt Haute Route in europe; obv a lighter setup could have been more ideal but the point is these were TOTALLY fine and doable.
Then skied bumps at the resort for two days on the exact same ski/binding and these were TOTALLY fine.
I've skied a ton in the Wasatch with these and now ski the Sierra and these are still my one-ski solution.

UPDATE: Feb 2012 I had the plate on the bottom break on me mid-tour. luckily it was a crap snow year so i was able to eventually hoof it out to civilization. I replaced them and have put ~10-15 days on a new pair of Barons, including 5 days on the teton crest trail last spring.
The plate broke again this weekend on a tour like 6 miles up in the Sierra. Luckily I was able to cinch some booster straps from my boot around the binding and stiff-leg it out but it sucked and ruined the trip. lowered my rating to 3 stars - they've worked on a few long tours but two breaks in the same spot make me lose confidence in the product. ordered some dynafits.
