The replaceable plates sound like a good idea, until they decide to replace themselves in the middle of a trail. The bearings are horrible and horrible to try and overhaul if you don't strip the spindle in the first place. Over a decade in shops and these are in top of the worst pedals I've ever seen. Go buy some Atomlabs or DMRs instead.

Seconded. I ran these pedals for about two rides. Didn't like the shape. Not concave enough. Heavy.
I've had the same set of Atomlab Trailkings on my BMX for 6 years, and the same set of Trailkings on my freeride bike for 4 years.
