I've tried a lot of different helmets at the store, I'm about a 62 cm, and some helmets (like bern and giro) are too round. As in, I'm sure it's at least 62 cm around, but my head is longer than it is wide, so those don't fit. The variant fits really well. At first i thought i needed an XL, but it was maybe a little sloppy, so I went with the L. I had to do some customizing to the innards to really get it right. The liner/head cap was on the smaller side, and while that stretches a bit, I decided to cut up the seams and open it up a bit more (small increments with test fits, so i wouldn't go overboard). It's surprising how much pressure that thing produces as compared to the shell. Once that got opened up, the fit was a lot better. the boa system is really nice too. Dials in the fit just right.
Then I yanked out the foam from the ear pads. I don't like how thick they are and how much they push down on my ears. Plus the pads are more streamlined and low profile like the helmet now. I might, in the future, put the foam back in after i slice it thinner. I really like that the ear pads open up and can take headphones, plus it let me get in there without any major surgery.
Construction is quality, no problems that I can see, and I pulled it apart during the fitting process. And it plays well with all my goggles (Oakley Wisdom, Scott Fix, Giro Gravity).
Great Price (got the cyan for $80)
