i live in vermont by the lamoille river. it presents many challenges and the terrain is constantly changing. the stretch i paddle on between jeffersonville and johnson has varied conditions, downed trees, old farm equipment, lots of rocks, both smooth and jagged. after stepping on a rock and almost piercing my kayak boots, and being grateful i got away without stitches - figured it's time for a boot upgrade. i was torn between the SAR and the 2 versions, but after stubbing my toes on too many rocks, i went for the SAR version.
i recieved them, ordered pairs but i'm always between sizes. they tend to run small like salomon trail runners.
got travel orders so i have to wait till next weekend to try them out.
