comfy but durability questions

These boots were super comfy right out of the box and didn't need a break in period. hiked through a few puddles to test out the waterproofness and they did the job. I really like these boots overall but.... I had to take 2 stars away because after the first weekend of actual hiking (about 25 miles through Big Bend) one of the knobbies is broken off of the sole and a chunk is missing on the edge of the heel of the sole. That's just unacceptable for new boots. I guess if you weren't going through terrain as rocky and rugged and West Texas then these boots would be prefect but if lots of loose rock is in store look elsewhere.
