You'll lose it before you break it.

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These are the standard. Can't go wrong. I've never seen one break, although I seem to lose one of these out of carelessness every few months.

PRO TIP: put a headlamp in one, seal it, and send it floating down a 300 ft. waterfall at night. Then have a fetching contest with your buddies at the base in the river. Good time.

Even better, put your buddy's wallet in it at night, without the headlamp, and THEN have a fetching contest. It's sure to fortify your friendship.

Ill up the anti. Put your buddy's epipen in it, kick a hornets nest or two in the area and then have the contest. The best of times, and better remembered if captured on video.

Was bragging during a river trip about the indestructibleness of my Nalgene. Tossed it up in the air about 20 ft.. Came crashing down into pieces.. Next I was walking out to my car on a chilly morning, bottle full with my regular 32 oz of morning time water. Reaching for my key sit slipped and fell the length of my legs to the concrete. SPLAT cracked Nalgene. Last and final. On my float of the Gand Canyon last year a rapid separated our massive 40ft. frame leaving just enough room for my Nalgene to slip in between and it popped open like a pimple on a 14-year-old's nose. Needless to say, the bottle is amazing and I have a collection... Just know there is at least one out there constantly encountering the bursting point of it's sustainability.. This guy!
