Worth its weight in...COPPER ! !
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Love this tent.
Picked it up for backpacking, but have only used it car camping thus far. Ridiculously easy to assemble, helps to have 2 people setting it up, but can be assembled solo without too much trouble. Love the design and double door access. (No more stumbling over your partner in the night to take a wee).
Myself and my boyfriend are pretty small in stature, so we find that this tent is pretty spacious. We can fit a small gear bag each, in addition to having plenty of sleeping room.
I Was concerned about the waterproofing on this tent, as I had only ever used it for desert camping. Well, I am pleased to report that the waterproofing on this tent is ALL TIME! It survived a wretched hour long downpour in the Uintah mountains, complete with 15 minutes of sizable hail. Once the storm was over, the tent was sitting in huge puddles of standing water. (Obviously, I didn't suss the drainage situation to the best of my abilities beforehand). I feared my bedding would be soaked, but to my surprise it was completely bone dry. The tent was literally SITTING in water. Amazing....this thing rocks!
Durability, I might add, is also excellent. I've had this tent for 3+ years now and it's in awesome shape.
