Voile Switchback X2 is a good compromise
I think this binding is a great compromise for those who want a touch more power but aren't willing to haul the admittedly amazing 22 Designs products around in the backcountry. I can't see much argument for using anything but a Hammerhead if you're a resort-only type, but to each their own and I love seeing the old schoolers getting low with infinitely better technique than me. For those who want to tour and resort, I love this binding. I have the regular switchbacks and these are a subtle improvement (not going to change your world but I can feel a bit more power for sure). I'm currently skiing this binder on a 181 K2 Anti Piste (basically the current Coomback). No complaints at all.
