Too heavy & too thin

The back support, with dual aluminum stays and the thick materials make the pack too heavy. Granted the material will make it durable. The back panel and stays are suppose to handle heavy load, but the thin and insufficient shoulder straps make carrying heavy load tiring and painful. Placement of the shoulder straps is also uncomfortable for people with wide shoulders.

Hang Peng's assessment of the Spear 25's shoulder straps merits the attention of all potential buyers. An otherwise great pack is, in my view, undermined by the two design flaws.

Responded on

I own this pack and have never had problems with the shoulder straps, even when carrying heavy loads. When used with the waist strap the internal frame puts almost no weight on my shoulders.
