This pack rocks

I bought this pack to upgrade from a smaller, lighter version. This pack is heavy, I will say that. I used it for 3 days on a 50 mile hike but could have easily stretched it out for more days. I am 5'2" and 125 lbs...I carried 45 lbs on my back, including the pack weight. It was super comfortable the entire trip, except that I when I was tired, it became difficult to lift back up onto my back, not a design flaw of the pack. The compartments are great. My favorite was two side zippers, where I put my 3L hydration bladder. This was awesome for quick and easy water refills instead of trying to get into the main compartment every time. The zippers on hip belts were key for quick snack breaks and easy access items. The external zippered accesss to main compartment was great when I wanted something on the bottom... I didn't have to unload everything. The outside elastic flap (with buckle closure over) was great to put more easy access items I frequently used. The top hood zipper was great for lots of things as well, like my headlamp and trash bag. I really liked the right side nalgene pocket, which is angled so that it is easily accessible while walking. The compression straps compress down very tight, which is great when you don't have a lot to pack!!! great pack, very durable. wouldn't trade it for anything else.
