Note this is the 2008 version. the outer over the toe, the shaft composition, and the sole (at least) have changed in the 2009 model. The 2009 model is also cheaper (~$145 on Zappo's). Also, look into the Musher from Baffin, similar design but with adjustable straps wrapping over the heel also.

To comment on the "are they completely waterproof" comment below, I would have to say no way. Wore them today for the first time in some 3-5 inch deep slush. My feet were both damp within minutes. Made in China. Figures.

Had been a loyal customer for years, they sold out to China but still charge the same $$ - no longer loyal, will not pay this price for chinese manufacturing. You betrayed us!
