Technical Shell Only
If you are looking at this for an everyday wear around campus, look more towards the North Face Resolve jacket (or something like that). This is a technical shell and is well used for rain/wind proofing and that's it. You can't zip in a liner, it's got no insulation built in, and feels rather flimsy. Don't get me wrong, I've had this jacket in torrential downpour the other day and it was phenomenal. I wasn't wet at all (at least where the jacket covered). However there are some cons to this jacket.
Hood is constantly up, doesn't have a roll away pocket.
Very thin=no insulation
Wrist velcro will catch on jacket closure velcro with daily walking. It's kind of annoying
But the Pro's outweigh the cons for sure if you want to stay dry. Because you WILL stay dry.
