These pants are unbelievable. I have been climbing some really wet WI3/WI4 ice in them that I thought I was going to get absolutely drenched in but I came out completely dry. The fabric on the knee and heel has saved me from more than a few crampon rips. These pants also have a really nice snow skirt.

I'm looking at getting some of these, your review is helpful. Are the pants lined at all? How do they feel against bare skin?

Responded on

the pants aren't lined but nothing a baselayer can't solve. They feel good against bare skin. I use these pants to commute to work on my bike in the winter and they keep my legs very toasty/insulated.

If a usually wear 31", should I buy a 30" or a 32" do they run large or small, or true? I like slim fit, dont like loose clothes, so what do you suggest?

I think they fit true to size. Be warned--they are by no means slim cut as they are designed for alpine skiing also so they have some extra to get over boots (also why I purchased these). I also have a pair of outdoor research cirque pants which are much more slim fit. I would check them out. They run true and have have less fabric in the leg/ankle area.
