Really great pack but...

i thought about giving it only 4 stars because the lid for the reservoir has some issues, but they are minor. The little plastic strap that attaches the lid to the reservoir was so tight on the lid that it could barely be turned with one hand and prevented the lid from threading properly. As a result, the lid would look like it was in place but leak. i cut the little strap and now it works fine, the threading is still a little funky though. Only other issue is that there's a lot a material in the hip straps after you tighten them. i suppose the excess material COULD get in the way, but it never has for me.
Everything else about the bag is spot on. Fits all the tools and pumps and food and knee pads and helmet and rain jacket and arm warmers. with all that gear, it's pretty tight, but most of us aren't riding our own shuttle for a gnarly downhill run with cold, wet weather that will take all day so you need tons of food and water.
The magnetic catch for the hose is really handy for grabbing a quick drink right before a rough section. and being able to zip out the reservoir instead of having to unthread it through the bag is really nice. Tool pouch and stretch pockets and sunglasses pocket and are really great. Lid lock is plenty secure and best system i've found for keeping cool on the ride up. Also, it shows no wear and tear after a couple wrecks.
It provides as much ventilation as possible while keeping it close to your body for drops, gaps, and all the other fun parts. better than my old camelbak. Bottom line, one of the best bags on the market.
