This is the same model my parents used growing up to transport us and our bikes on camping trips, and it holds up just as well as I remember. I have an odd-shaped bike and this rack makes it transportable without buying a separate attachment such as a straight bar (although I might invest in one in the future as they make it easier to load the bike). I have already made several short trips and one long and had no problems. Enjoy!
