I've been looking for the perfect synthetic parka to suplement my Patagonia Down Parka (that I've had since about 2006) for adventures that may be a bit wetter. The DAS lives in the bottom of my ski pack when I'm out touring. I stuck with my normal Patagonia size, Small, for my 5'10 165lb. frame. The DAS has some extra room built in so it fits over everything I'm wearing. That is exactly what I was looking for. My intended use would be the following: I wear some light softshell pants, an R1 Hoody and my Arc'teryx Beta FL shell while I'm out touring. That setup is perfect when you are on the move. But as soon as you stop for lunch or whatever you start getting cold fast, and out comes the DAS. I just toss that over the top of everything and munch on my sandwhich while staying warm. Perferct.
