These are okay. They are squeaky (trying to fix that). There is still a good deal of resistance when in the quasi-touring mode they have. My partner will ultimately replace these with true touring bindings that are more active (BD 01s). However, these are lightweight, simple, and decently control her Joules, but she'd like the versatility of having a true free pivot and likely better command of her Joules. If you head for the untouched backcountry try something else, if you spend most of the time getting a lift to the top, these are just fine and economical.
