I have a 36 inseam and found these just a bit shy of where most people wear their pants....BUT!!! They have a wonderfully generous hem. Don't send them back. Take out the stitching and rehem them. That is what I did. Now I am thrilled with these pants. They are thin enough to feel as cool as any shorts but with the protection. Surprisingly tough....but not quite tough enough for this girl. I have a tiny rip on the back pocket after only a few trips out. But I am still impressed. I do have one complaint that I am not sure they can fix given the benefit of cool these pants are, but when a slight chill comes over the ridge, I have to have something else to reach for even if I am still comfortable in a tshirt and wind breaker. And at least one zipper pocket would be nice. I thought I would loose my keys a few times but the flap seems to have worked. I would prefer not to have to think about it, though.
