Been riding the same pair of Marker Barons on various skis and various widths for three years (average 25+ days/year, except this year!?) in the east. About 5-6 of my days are backcountry/AT. The Barons are bombproof and indestructible. I've have them on waist widths from 80 all the way to 130 and havn't had a problem. This spring I am going to replace an older pair "of another binding not Marker" for a 2nd pair of Barons. Unless you're doing some epic multi-day ski mountaineering (weight-weenie style), there is not other choice in my mind. I'm 5'8" 155lbs have skied the Baron on: K2 Shuksans, WhiteDot Preachers, WhiteDot Redeemers, and Karhu 130's. My boot is a Garmot Endorphin Carbon (small) and I max the DIN.
