I took this tent with me on a 7 day hike through Shenandoah Nat'l Park last early summer. If you pack everything yourself it will be a lot to have in your bag, but when split between the two other people you are sharing it with, it is perfecto! It T-stormed on us almost every night we were on the AT and we stayed good and dry ;-). The fly cinches down good and tight around the base of the tent and kept sideways rain off our sleeping bags. Setup takes about 5-7 minutes with another person, and is not bad in the dark. The dual vestibule gives plenty of space for boots and backpacks. Another review mentioned it packs long, and it does due to the pole length. Another problem with it is it is heavy. The poles and stakes are lightweight, but the rain fly is heavy and packs bulky. To save on weight, I am going to try just the fly and footprint this season and see if it fends off the weather well enough.
