I got this to replace the valve that my dog chewed up on my Coleman-brand small day pack. It is too big for the Coleman hose but I jimmy-rigged it with part of the original bitevalve and made it work and so far its done great. I love the valve itself. On the product description, it listed some brands that it was and wasn't compatible with but Coleman wasn't one of them.

I would recommend using it with the cap/cover because dirt/sand stuck to it every time I set my pack down.
