Lite can be right!
This is a nice little day pack that has a lot of room for expansion and is ultra lite so it can be used in unison with a larger pack for making shorter day trips from base camp. I test drove this product on a trip to Mt. Elbrus of all places and it worked for me but might not have been the best of choices for a mountaineering expedition. What I liked about it was it is lightweight and can be compressed to the extreme. It expansability makes it perfect for adjusting from a lite day to a heavier load day. The pack is not incredibly strong, but can accomodate a hydration bladder and some day items. I think it could work for ultra lite backpackers looking for a lite fast pack, but you would really have to trim down the weight and the straps are not incredibly padded which does not work for me. The pack can accomodate ice tools and poles which is nice, and they do fit securely. The pack does come with a foam pad in the back, the first thing I did when I got the pack is ditched the pad so I could roll it up into my large expedition pack. Other than this if you are look if for lite and versatile I think this could be a nice day pack for the liter crowd and or a secondary pack on the big trip.
