Bought these at a local chain (sorry BC, but I needed them that day) and the baskets fell off and were lost on the first use. I made the mistake of assuming the store staff mounted them properly. Today, I bent one recovering from a fall. I didn't strike anything with them. The pole simply bent when I was forcing myself upward. It bent right at the taper.
