Comfort and Performance had a baby...

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Hands-down the best bouldering shoes I have ever owned. The perform well at the gym, but I mostly save them for climbing outdoors. I have used them everywhere from the sandstone of Stoney Point to the amazing volcanic tuff of the Happy Boulders in Bishop. They love EVERYTHING and have extreme grip and smearing abilities. They stick really well to the smallest pebble holds too! The "bump" underneath your toes REALLY helps to fill dead space and makes the shoe very comfortable to wear when your toe knuckles are bunched up from downsizing. The shape is perfect, and despite what some people say about them heel-hooking sloppy, I have found that these shoes heel hook very well. The rubber over the toe helps with toe hooks as well, which I have already made us of. The quick close system works well and appears to be durable so far (6 months of climbing.) There is no odor yet, and I am hard-pressed to find anything about this shoe that doesnt make it perfect. The break-in period was very fast. If you can afford these shoes look no further, nothing beats the Solution for bouldering and even sport climbing. Find something else for trad/slab climbing, though (I dont climb either, but can tell this shoes wouldnt perform well in those areas.) Even if you cant afford these, save your pennies, recycle cans and get a pair, youll be glad you did! Performance and Comfort finally bumped fuzzies and gave us a baby: the Solution!!!
