HardFace repells light rain and blocks wind..
Bought it mainly for ski-touring and going up. It's summer here in Ukraine, and I haven't used it in the mountains or in cold yet, but I must say this jacket is breathable enough to not let me overheat running under light to moderate night rain, except my head. So here comes dilemma: maybe I'd like it to have HardFace even on hood, so my head won't get wet, but then my head will overheat even more...
DWR works on HardFace as advertised, but Power Stretch pieces will get wet in rain/drizzle. Can be weared next to skin, or - better - over T-shirt.
This jacket's HardFace fabric also somewhat blocks moderate wind - I'd say it has around half of wind-blocking ability of a typical LW windshirt. Will post an update when this aspect will be tested more thoroughly.
Zippers and pockets are top notch. I'm 6'3'' 170lbs and size large fits me good - not too tight, not too loose. At first I missed draw string, but it is not really needed it seems. Length is ok, we'll see how it climbs...
