Hands down best and lightest for the cost

Not really a whole lot to say. Great build quality. You wont find another tent this size/weight/quality anywhere near this price. The Big Agnes Copper Spur 4 person is the only other tent near these specs and it costs about $500. The fly creek is cheaper and lighter than the Copper Spur but way smaller. You could also go with a tarptent or golite, but you're still pay much more than this for a non free standing tent.

Tent sets up extremely easily, instructions printed on the storage bag as well. 2 poles and a tie down rainfly. Steaks are solid v shaped aircraft aluminum spikes, the kind you would pay extra for. Breathes great as the tent itself is almost entirely mesh. Had 2 adults, a dog, and a 6 yr old and could have easily fit another adult in it. We went through a storm that dumped 3" of rain in one night and were bone dry. Even our shoes in the vestibule were dry through it. I'm 5'10" and can almost stand up in it.

If you're looking for a family backpacking tent, this is about the only under 7 lb choice unless you want to drop $400 - $500 for a BA. I wouldn't hesitate to buy this one again.
