I just recently tried Gu Chomps as an alternative to regular Gu, and it's nice to have some variety. Just like Gu packets, these are easy to eat quickly for convenient calories. I like them for climbing and mountaineering, since they stash in a pocket easily and you don't have to worry about them exploding in a squeeze chimney. Each package has 8 pieces and just shy of 200 calories. I've only tried the Orange flavor and it tastes good.
