Just used the Sawyer squeeze filter for a week on the A.T. and loved it. Very light, extremely easy to use.

I only took one bag, 32 oz, plus two 1 liter Aquafina water bottles. The filter will fit right on top of these bottles and I used the bag to fill the bottles if it was not practical to fill up the bottles because of size and space at the water source.

I have not used any other filter except for the Sawyer but many hikers I camped with who had pumps and steri pens admitted that they like the Sawyer for its size and ease of use.
