Great for the steep terrain

What I like best about the z/2 is that the toe loop provides a little more stability in the sandal if your getting a little more aggressive and doing some severe ascents and descents. I use them for a general shoe in moderate climates almost year round and they work well in the water and on the trail. I usually wear the webbing out before I wear the actual sole to the bone because I have some pretty course calluses from trail running, so I think the sole is incredibly durable. I prefer my z/1s if I am just hanging out because I like to move my toes around but that is just personal preference. Sizing is different and preferential. I usually wear a size 10.5 and have a size 10.75" left and right foot. With the chaco's I feel there is way too much room at the end of my chaco in a size 10. I try to size sandals so my toe comes right to the edge of the sole, otherwise I am tripping over stuff and they look ridiculous. So I always wear a size 9 in chaco's. I hope that helps for sizing.
