Already had the 3L with the hose. Bought this 1L as a lightweight backup for backpacking stretches with unreliable water sources. Use the 1L weekly for MTB rides where water bottle don't work unless you stop. I don't like to stop... Also great for boarding where you won't need anything larger than a 1L.
