Great bag, could use a bit more hand space
My first chalk bag was a fuzzy pink cheapo that I picked up at the local gym because, as a teenage boy, I for some reason thought it would be funny to climb with a fuzzy pink chalk bag. I regrettably climbed with that sucker for several years before my girlfriend finally made me get rid of it.
I replaced it with the Metolius Techno ID bag. It's a huge improvement to my style and works great. The ID pocket is a top-notch idea (I'd venture to say the most important climbing invention since the rope), and the media pocket fits my iPhone in it so I can check Steep and Cheap on the way down.
My solitary complaint is that it could use just a bit more wiggle room. A fully filled chalk sock will just about fill it up, making it difficult to run the quick chalk up maneuver. I'm sure it will be just fine once the sock starts to empty out a bit. Related to that, the draw string really doesn't close the bag all the way, so there is still plenty of space for chalk to spew out all over my stuff.
Overall, I'd recommend it for the gym, but it certainly has room for improvement.
