Great Jacket, but...

Don't get me wrong, I love this jacket. It keeps you warm when you need it but doesn't overheat you when the day starts getting warmer. I love skiing (downhill) with it because it's not too bulky and it is fantastic at regulating your temperature. However, it has a couple of drawbacks. First, it frays. I took it backpacking for its first trip and it began to fray at the cuffs and at the stitching almost immediately. Skiing with it under a shell protects it. Second, I had to order a size up because the arms were so short! I'm only 5'6" but if I lift my arms in a medium, the cuffs are too short for the jacket to be truly useful. I prefer it bigger also because the jacket doesn't give much and my shoulders get better range of motion. In short, if I wanted this jacket to look good, I'd go with a medium, but as I want it to be seriously functional, I'm buying another in large; to heck with what I look like in it. For true use, this jacket is simply awesome; but I'll admit, I really wish I could wear a medium and look good in it, too! Of course, then I'd have to look at the annoying fraying,,,
