Batteries last forever; Easy to operate switch (even with gloves); Switch protected from accidental activation; Provides enough light to hike or jog confidently; Very lightweight; Dim setting(s) for reading, etc.; Small enough for pocket or glove box. Battery cable barely makes it around some helmets (you may have to offset the battery pack from center rear); Uncomfortable on head while laying down to read since the battery pack is in the rear. On helmets, I've resolved the battery cable issue by shortening the cable to 3", mounting the battery pack to the front of the helmet with a small piece of shock-cord and attaching the headlamp with 3M exterior grade tape. It's lasted 3-1/2 years so far with no problems. You won't be disappointed with this headlamp. Of seven different types of headlamps I've tried, these are the best. I now have five of them.
